Exchange Mobile Data Network outage

>From 3:30 pm yesterday 4/23/15 until 10 am today 4/24/15. An outage occurred for Exchange users on the mobile network Verizon. This was due to a firewall rule written in response to a report from the security team of large amount of anomalous traffic from a company (not Verizon) that we did not recognize. The rule has been removed and service has been restored. We apologize for the interruption in services

myOSU maintenance complete 4:00PM April 19 2015

Maintenance is complete and myOSU has been returned to service.

Due to technical issues not apparent in our test environment, planned upgrades were unsatisfactory. We executed our back out plan and the portal is operating normally.

ONID Outage April 14 10:30pm – April 15 2:00pm

There was a partial outage for ONID Personal web pages ( from April 14th at 10:30pm to April 15th at 2:00pm. One of the two servers behind this service was unable to read ONID home directories after it was rebooted on April 14th at 10:30pm. We have changed the way ONID home directories are mounted to an “automount”, which will automatically retry if the mount is lost or unavailable.

We had a network failure this morning at 06:19 while doing routine network maintenance. At this time we believe all service has been restored and will continue to investigate and do a Post-mortem. -Josh

OSU Network Announcements - Mon, 04/13/2015 - 7:58am

myOSU will be unavailable from 7 a.m. Friday April 17 2015 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday April 20 2015. We will be upgrading the underlying software components, improving navigation, adding larger fonts and providing more mobile compatibility.

A maintenance screen will provide links to most commonly used applications and processes during the outage.
