The Home Use Program for Microsoft Office allows faculty, staff, and graduate research / teaching assistants who are on paid assistantships to license and install Microsoft Office products on ONE (1) personally owned computer.
Unlike the old Work at Home program, the Home Use Program does not stipulate that usage must be 100% work-related and a University index is no longer necessary to purchase the software.
Only regular Oregon State University employees or paid Graduate Research / Teaching Assistants are eligible. Temporary employees, undergraduates and graduate students paid as student workers are not eligible.
Microsoft has stopped distributing Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013. In addition, the Windows version now being distributed (Office 2016) requires either the Windows 7, 8 or 10; neither XP nor Vista are compatible. The new versions listed below are backwards compatible with documents created in previous versions:
