Why download expensive or resource-intensive software apps if you can launch them for free? With Citrix, members of the OSU community can access various apps for coursework and research.
Citrix replaces the RemoteApps remote desktop environment.
Software You Can Launch
Adobe software: Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
SAS and IBM SPSS
...and many more!
How to Connect
Whether you're using a Mac, Windows, iOS or Android device, just use your Web Browser or Citrix Receive to access Citrix Apps — anytime, anywhere.
You can go directly through your web browser here
You can also download the Citrix Receiver application
Once you've installed the Citrix Receiver, you may configure it to access Citrix apps, per the setup instructions on Helpdocs.
How to Save Files
The apps you launch in Citrix run on an OSU server. You'll need to save the files you create to your ONID space (2 GB maximum).
Using the Citrix Receiver Application will let you save directly to your local drives. If you're using your web browser, you'll then need to access your Home Directory to transfer your files from your ONID space to your own computer.
