Mathematica is a computational software program used in many scientific, engineering, mathematical and computing fields, based on symbolic mathematics.

License Restrictions: 

Available for OSU faculty, staff and students on institutional or personally-owned devices or computers for use in education and non-commercial research.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you leave OSU, you must remove ALL SITE-LICENSED SOFTWARE from your personal computers.  Any valid licenses on work computers may be transferred to another employee.

Mathematica Download:

  1. Request an activation code, via email: Software Licensing using the subject Line: Mathematica Code Request
  2. Once you receive your activation code via email, Create Wolfram account using your @oregonstate.edu or @onid.oregonstate.edu email address.
    Note that you MUST use your university email address. Do not register with any other address.
  3. Wait for the account activation email. This may take a few minutes.
  4. Enter the activation code you requested from OSU Software Licensing.
  5. Download the Mathematica version of your choice using the information provided on the Wolfram webpage.

Wolfram Alpha Pro Access:

  1. Create a Wolfram account using your @oregonstate.edu or @onid.oregonstate.edu email address.
    Note that you MUST use your university email address. Do not register with any other address.
  2. Wait for the account activation email. This may take a few minutes.
  3. Once your account has been created, go to:  https://user.wolfram.com/portal/request
