SMS operates as a first-come, first- served basis. 
However, we recognize that there are special cases where equipment is needed for specific times and dates.
Example: an OSU sponsored student organization event with a specific time and date. 

Equipment is available for checkout by RESERVATION ONLY. SMS is no longer accepting 'walk-in' clients.
Please see the instructions in this webform for how to make a reservation.
Professional media consultants are available to provide instruction and training when picking up equipment. We are not able to offer delivery or on-site support for equipment. 

Standard checkout times are 48 hours for Undergrad students, and 72 hours for Grad students. If your project requires you to have the equipment for longer than the standard time, please let us know in the notes section of the survey.

Please fill out the form below to reserve equipment, or call us at 541-737-3332. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible (Mon-Fri) and confirm equipment availability at that time.

SMS will strive to meet each students needs, but due to the fact that SMS serves a wide range of students, your request for reserved equipment may be denied during peak times of the term. 

Students may access multimedia equipment for use in academic instruction, research & university-related events. A wide array of multimedia equipment is available. Please see our catalog for more details.

Who is your instructor or leader of your department?
SMS is now operating under updated COVID-19 guidelines. All equipment pick-up appointments must be made in advance. 

After submitting this form you will be redirected to a site where you may choose a 15 minute time slot to enter the building and pick up your equipment. 

Your request will not be processed, and you will not be allowed into the building without an appointment.

Returning Equipment

When you are ready to return the equipment, please use the designated drop off location in the front lobby of the Valley Library. The returned items will be cleaned, formatted, and checked in after 1 business day. This cleaning day will not count against your checkout duration. 

If you believe that YOU or the EQUIPMENT has come in contact with the COVID-19 virus, please contact SMS directly for further instructions.
